The Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Episcopa. Diocesan Bishop

The Diocese is presided by the Diocesan Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Episcopa. The Diocesan Assembly is the representative body of the churches within the Diocese. In order to execute the decisions of the Diocesan Assembly, a Diocesan Council functions. Currently, Rev. Joseph Oommen serves as the Diocesan Secretary and Mr.T.A. Mathew as the Treasurer. The Office Bearers mentioned above constitute the Diocesan Council Executive Committee.

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos has been serving the Diocese as Bishop since October 2001. Prior to the Bishop's tenure in this Diocese, the Bishop has served Rani-Nilackel Diocese and the Adoor-Mavelikara Diocese. After completing his degree and post graduate studies from Sacred Heart College, Thevara and Christ College, Iringalakuda, he joined the Mar Thoma Seminary for Theological education. He became a Deacon in 1978 and subsequintly served as parish priest at Jalahali, Palarivattom, Colaba and Staten Island, and other parishes. On December 9th 1989 he was consecrated as Episcopa and at present he is in charge of the North America & Europe Diocese. Mar Coorilos is a man of prayers. As President of the Yuvajana Sakhyam he lead many young people to Jesus Christ. His Vision for the Mission can be seen in the Mission activities of the Diocese namely the Native American Mission Work and Mexico Mission.
